Josh Collins Racing Announces a Two-Car Team Effort for The 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Season
May 5, 2023 – Josh Collins Racing is proud to officially announce that it will field a two-car effort in the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series.
The Newfoundland-based team will field the No.23 Chevrolet with driver Brandon McFarlane and the No.56 Chevrolet driven by Josh Collins. The team is co-owned by Glen McFarlane, Co-Founder of the Wing’n-It Restaurant franchise.
Brandon has several prestigious wins, including the Canada Day 150 in 2017 and the DRL 150 in 2022. He also claimed two 2nd place finishes at the Action Car and Truck Accessories Twin 75.
Brandon is incredibly determined to take his racing career to the top level, competing again with the nation’s toughest drivers in the NASCAR Pinty’s series.
“With the season opener a week away at Sunset Speedway I am very excited to race at a track not far from where I spent most of my childhood in Innisfil” said Brandon McFarlane. “Josh and Dad have worked extremely hard to get our new team ready for the upcoming season and this would not be possible without the endless support from everyone involved. I look forward to getting behind the wheel of the Oceanex Camaro next week and doing my team and sponsors proud!”
Josh has several top finishes, including a 2nd and 3rd place finish at the Atlantic championships and another 1st place at the Smiths 100 in 2019. For the 2022 season, Josh took home a 1st place finish at the Fan Fest, a 2nd place finish at the A1 automotive Twin ’50s, and a 2nd place finish at the Bay by Bay 100.
Looking toward the future, Josh plans to continue growing his team in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and improving in all aspects of the sport while increasing his partner’s businesses and brands.
“We have a newly branded team effort this season that brings new excitement and growth opportunities for the team, and I’m looking forward to getting the season started and showcasing our speed,” said team co-owner Josh Collins. “We’ve been putting in countless hours in the off-season to put this expanded two-car team effort together. We have some great people behind us and some very positive opportunities with new partnerships in the works; the future looks very bright for the team. I can’t thank Glen, Brandon enough, and everyone working behind the scenes to help us make this happen.”
